Nothing changes an outfit faster than a long kimono. Over slim jeans and a tee it adds movement and a vertical line; over a maxi dress it turns a daytime look into something for dinner; over a swimsuit it is the only cover-up you will pack. Our long kimonos and dusters fall from the knee to the ankle, with open fronts and sleeves that are wide but never heavy.

Choose sheer florals and printed viscose for summer, crochet and burnout velvet for evenings, and fringe-hemmed or fur-trimmed styles for fall. Every piece is made by hand with our artisan partners — the prints are block-printed or screen-printed, the crochet is hand-stitched, and the trims are sewn, not glued.

Styling a long kimono: match the hem of the kimono to the hem of what is underneath, or go deliberately longer; keep the shoes simple — a flat sandal or one of our embroidered mules — and let the kimono carry the look.

Shorter styles: kimono jackets. By fabric: floral kimonos · velvet kimonos · crochet kimonos. All kimonos.

What is a duster kimono? A duster is a long, lightweight open coat; a duster kimono is the same length with kimono sleeves and no fastening. The terms are used interchangeably. Can petite women wear a long kimono? Yes — choose a knee-length style rather than maxi, wear it open, and keep the underneath in one color so the eye travels up.
