THROWING THE PERFECT HOLIDAY PARTY

Let Saachi Suggest 3 Ideas To Gift The Ever-Hosting Entertainer In Your Life.

CREATE A TIMELINE:

What needs to happen 3 weeks before? 2 weeks before? Day of?
Figuring out the perfect vibe of the party comes first. Is this a sit down dinner party? Passed food only? These things will be determined by your space. If you have a small home, passed food is the best answer and it usually more fun.

CALL IN REINFORCEMENTS:

Take some of the pressure off of yourself and hire someone to help. You can show off your cooking skills but doing all of the prep yourself, but they can be in charge of clearing plates and making sure food is replenished. Someone restocking the bar is a must.
Satellite: For a fun take on dining, scatter cocktail-style tables around the house with different food stations. Buffets can get clustered and no one likes to stand in line. Sit down dinners can be stuffy, so try breaking up the food areas to different tables. You can do a variety of different foods at different stations. Think outside the box. Also, when people help themselves, they end up talking to people a lot more. Remember to keep foods bite sized and fork friendly.

Signature Move: Consider having a signature cocktail. That way it can be made ahead of time, put in a beautiful pitcher and refilled as needed. Guests enter the party to find a tray of said cocktail waiting for them.

Personal Touches: Don’t forget to add your personal touch to all areas of the party. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on decorating if you repurpose items and incorporate them as parts of the décor. A beautiful earring or brooch can serve as a napkin tie when attached to a lovely ribbon. Even the bathroom should set the mood with lovely candles and even a floral arrangement.
